Health & Wellbeing Coach Available At the practice – Shannon Kang
The Health and Wellbeing Coach service is now available at the practice. Shannon, our Health and Wellbeing Coach, is here to offer support to patients who want to self-manage their health and wellbeing. Shannon offers a space to explore the steps for change, thus allowing the patients to become active participants in their own care. The service involves an initial 1-hour consultation and a further 5 follow-up sessions of 30 minutes.
Sessions can be done via telephone or face-to-face at the surgery. The service is aimed at patients who:
- Are Over the age of 18
- Want to make any form of lifestyle change
- Have 1 or more long term health condition
- Who are at risk of long-term health condition
Examples of key issues that patients have had support with:
- Weight management
- Managing long term conditions
- Lack of mobility
- Stress management

Muskoskeletal/MSK
The Musculoskeletal First Contract Practitioner (MSK FCP) Service offers patients direct access to in-practice treatment from qualified MSK Specialists. These appointments provide an alternative to a GP appointment for a patient with an MSK problem which includes: acute or chronic musculoskeletal conditions affecting neck (including whiplash) and thoracic spine; shoulders; upper or lower limbs; back, pelvis, or joints; muscular pain and injuries - including sports injuries. Please note, this is not a Physiotherapy service and you should consult your GP for any requests for physiotherapy.
The MSK FCP appointments are available to book directly by our practice reception and can provide virtual and F2F appointments.
